The 2021 WASSCE was initially scheduled for May/June, but couldn’t hold due to the global Covid-19 Pandemic.
A new has now officially been announced and is now scheduled to take place from August 16 to September 30, according to a statement coming from the Office of the Head of Public Affairs of WAEC in Nigeria, as revealed on Friday by Demianus Ojijeogu.
According to him, he stated that the timetable for the 2021 waec exams will be released in no distant time, as such candidates that registered for the exams should prepare and get ready.
The new date and upcoming timetable announced by WASSCE is in collaboration the Education Ministry Of Nigeria and in accordance with the current curriculum as stated by Ojijeogu.
The COVID-19 global pandemic had greatly affected the education sector and the academic calendar as with other sectors in the country according to the WAEC spokesman Areghan.
These factors have made it almost impossible to have this year’s WASSCE examination in May/June as with other years.
