The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is building a 40″ x 614km gas pipeline and stations between Ajaokuta and Kaduna-Kano (AKK). The Trans-Nigerian Gas Pipeline Network includes the AKK Pipeline. Brentex CPP Limited was awarded the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline and Stations Project, which covers a distance of around 318.66 km of the Trans Nigeria Gas Pipeline and stations.

Semi-Automatic Welding Specialist is a job title that describes a person who works in a semi-automated welding environment

Abuja (FCT) and Kaduna are the two locations.

Description of the Position

To plan layout and procedures, read blueprints and drawings and take measurements.

Based on the needs, select the appropriate welding equipment or process.

Set up the tip components for welding according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Welds metal pieces together with either gas [Welder Gas] or brazing [Brazer, Assembler] or a combination of arc procedures [Welder Ard.
Carry out related duties such as thermal cutting and grinding.
Repairer, Cylinder Heads, may use inspection equipment and a gas torch to find and repair cracks in industrial enne cylinder heads.
Angle grinders are used to prepare pieces that to be welded.
Weld components in various places using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Welding pieces and filling gaps are used to repair machines and other components.
To find defects in welded surfaces and structures, test and inspect them.
Keep your equipment in good working order so that it does not endanger your safety.
SMAW-positions include flat, vertical, horizontal, and over head.
Flat, vertical, honzontal, and above locations for FCAW gas-shielded aol self-shielded wire.
Work using oxy/acetyleneorory/polypropylene.
Course of Study & Certification Requirements

Engineering or Physical Sciences Higher National Diploma / B.Tech / B.Eng.

City & Guild Level 3 from the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
AW Scertifcationl CSWlP or equivalent ASNI certification
Years of Experience: 8 years of experience

Knowledge of AWS 01.1, D1.6, 012, and ASME B313 fabrications and welding requirements, as well as the ability to interpret drawings and weld symbols according to AWS A2.4.
Work experience as a simdar is required.
