Olman Business Solutions our client is currently recruiting to fill the aforementioned position:

Job Title: QHSE Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Job Description

As the QHSE Officer, you will be tasked with the duty of implementing the Company’s laid down Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
You will also be tasked with the implementation of safe behavioral practices, and safe work practices in the company.

Core Responsibilities

Relaying information as regards the company’s QHSE Management System and also promoting HSE awareness in the company through different communication
medium e.g inductions for new members, Toolbox talks (tbt), HSE trainings, discussions, campaigns etc. and in alliance with all relevant departments in the company.
Arranging the necessary QHSE documentation for the company’s clients/project in compliance with the applicable regulations/requirements and in collaboration with the Operations team.
Performing periodical internal QHSE inspections and with external parties in accordance with the recognized inspection program of the company.
Following up and implementing the corrective measures for different unsafe practices identified during the inspection program in alliance with all applicable departments.
Implementing and encouraging best behavioral safety practices in the company through effective observations
Performing daily walk-throughs exercise in the company/client premises/facility to check for unsafe conditions and make the workplace safe.
Must fully participate in the HSE incident investigations and prepare required reports when the need arises.
Will be representing the company in various regulatory QHSE meetings when the need arises.
As the QHSE Officer, you will be tasked with observing and recording key QHSE performance indicators and also issue reports as required.

Job Qualifications

A B.Sc / HND Degree in any science related course
Not less than 2 years of working experience.
A minimum of level three HSE certificate
A previous working experience in a catering industry will give you an edge.
Being affiliated with a professional safety body will also give you an edge.

Must have sound knowledge of Food safety.
Must have sound knowledge of HSE in the catering industry
Candidate should have innovative/creative mindset.
Candidate should problem solving skills.
Should be able to adapt easily to any changes in the work place.
Good written and spoken English is required
Should be able to impact knowledge on your fellow workers.
Ability to write down report perfectly with attention to detail.
